Participation of Olena Dobrzhanska in the conference “The Role of Gender Equality for Sustainable Development and Well-Being”

On April 9 - 10, 2025 the lecture of the International Communications Program of Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations, Associate Professor of the Department of International Information, Vice-Rector for Public Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Olena Dobrzhanska, took part in the conference “The Role of Gender Equality for Sustainable Development and Well-Being”, which was held at the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism of Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan.
The event was attended by politicians, public activists, representatives of government, business, media, culture, local communities, and scientists.
During the conference, the participants discussed the key challenges and obstacles faced by representatives of different genders around the world. The event became a platform where effective strategies and tools for supporting gender equality were presented, as well as practical recommendations for implementing balanced policies that will contribute to sustainable development.

As part of the conference, a roundtable discussion on “Gender Equality in the Context of the Russian-Ukrainian War: Transformations, Challenges, Prospects” was held, moderated by Olena Dobrzhanska.
During the roundtable, representatives of the academic community, experts, and public activists engaged in an open dialogue on reconsidering gender stereotypes and roles during the war, and Ukrainian students also showed interest in the topic.
This event emphasized that gender equality is an important factor in the sustainable economic and social development of society!
